Description of U-Shaped Head Mask

 

U-shaped Head Mask is a kind of Radiotherapy Mask. It is a low-temperature thermoplastic polymer material. It is mainly used to fix the patient's head in radiotherapy, reduce the unnecessary damage to normal tissues caused by the patient's body movement, effectively improve the accuracy of radiotherapy positioning and placement, and improve the absorption of local lesions to radiation.


Characteristics of U-Shaped Head Mask


1. The radiotherapy positioning film is specially treated and has the surface antibacterial ability; 

2. It has a memory function. When the plasticity is not satisfied, it can be put into hot water at 60-70℃ again, softened again, and plasticized again; 

3. With memory function, when the plasticity is not satisfied, it can be put back into 60-70℃ hot water, softened again, and plastic again;

4. After plasticity is complete, it can be left for 5-10 minutes to complete hardening.
