Description of Chest Mask

Chest Mask is a kind of Immobilization Mask that is fixed to the base plate by the method of clip fixation. It is a low-temperature thermoplastic polymer material. It is mainly used to fix the head, neck, and shoulder of patients in radiotherapy, reduce the unnecessary damage to normal tissues caused by the movement of patients, effectively improve the accuracy of radiotherapy positioning and placement, and improve the absorption of local lesions to radiation.

Characteristics of Chest Mask

1. Shaping and fixing are easy to operate, and the shape is beautiful; 

2. After treatment, the material will not adhere to the patient's hair, skin or the phenomenon of material adhesion itself;

3. It has a memory function. When the plasticity is not satisfied, it can be put into hot water at 60-70℃ again, softened again, and plasticized again; 

4. After plasticity is complete, it can be left for 5-10 minutes to complete hardening;

5. Improve the absorption of local lesions to radiation.
