Description of S-Shaped Head Mask

An S-shaped Head Mask is a kind of Radiotherapy Mask. It is a low-temperature thermoplastic polymer material. It is mainly used to fix the patient's head in radiotherapy, reduce the unnecessary damage to normal tissues caused by the patient's body movement, effectively improve the accuracy of radiotherapy positioning and placement, and improve the absorption of local lesions to radiation.

Characteristics of S-Shaped Head Mask

1. Fixed on the bottom plate by the expanding Latin fixation method; 

2. It is one of the commonly used materials in head tumor radiotherapy; 

3. Shaping and fixing are easy to operate, and the shape is beautiful; 

4. After treatment, the material will not adhere to the patient's hair, skin or the phenomenon of material adhesion itself;

5. It has a memory function. When the plasticity is not satisfied, it can be put into hot water at 60-70℃ again, softened again, and plasticized again; 

6. With memory function, when the plasticity is not satisfied, it can be put back into 60-70℃ hot water, softened again, and plastic again;

7. After plasticity is complete, it can be left for 5-10 minutes to complete hardening.
