Product Description
A Laparoscope Protective Cover (also known as a Laparoscopic Camera Sleeve, Endoscopic Sterile Drape, or Trocar/Camera Port Barrier) is a single-use, sterile barrier device designed to sheath non-sterile components of a laparoscopic system – most commonly the camera cord and light cord – during minimally invasive surgery. Its primary function is to maintain a sterile surgical field by preventing contamination from equipment that cannot be sterilized (like camera heads and cables), thereby reducing the risk of surgical site infections.
Made from high-clarity, medical-grade polymers such as polyethylene or co-polyester.
1. Dramatically reduces the risk of SSIs by preventing microbial contamination from non-sterile equipment, a key strategy for hospital-acquired infection (HAI) prevention;
2. Shields sensitive and costly camera heads, fiber optic cables, and connectors from blood, bodily fluids, and saline, minimizing damage and repair costs and extending equipment lifespan;
3. Allows for rapid setup and draping of equipment;
4. The high-clarity, anti-fog material ensures an unobstructed visual field without compromising image quality;
5. Represents a low-cost insurance policy against costly SSIs and equipment repairs.
