Description of Two Bottle Chest Drainage System

The disposable water-sealed chest drainage bottle is composed of a fluid accumulation cavity, a water-sealed cavity, a drainage tube, a connect tubing, a water-sealed tubing, an anti-backflow device, and a suspension device. Dust cover and tee are optional.

Closed chest drainage is to put one end of the drainage tube into the chest cavity, and the other end is connected to a water-sealed bottle lower than its position,  so as to discharge gas or collect the fluid in the chest cavity, so that the lung tissue can reopen and restore function. When the patient has a liquid pneumothorax and needs both pleural fluid drainage and gas drainage, a double-chamber drainage bottle should be selected. The first-bottle is an effusion bottle, and the second is a true water-sealed bottle. As a treatment method, it is widely used in the drainage of hemothorax, pneumothorax, empyema and after thoracotomy, and plays a very important role in the treatment of diseases.
