Product Description
Double Lumen Endotracheal Tube as also called Double-lumen Endobronchial Tube, or DLT. The DLT is an endotracheal tube designed to isolate the lungs anatomically and physiologically. Double-lumen tubes (DLTs) are the most commonly used tubes to provide independent ventilation for each lung. A DLT is made up of two small-lumen endotracheal tubes of unequal length fixed side by side. The shorter tube ends in the trachea, and the longer one is placed in either the left or right bronchus to selectively ventilate the left or right lung separately.
There is one main difference between the design of the right and left-sided dual-lumen tubes.
The right-sided tube has a weirdly shaped "eccentric" cuffed to prevent the occlusion of the right upper lobe bronchus.
The left-sided tube has a standard straight cuff.
1. Manufactured from soft nontoxic thermosensitive medical-grade nontoxic clear PVC.
2. Atraumatic rounded tip minimizes tissue injury during intubation.
3. Ergonomic “S” shape design of the endobronchial cuff helps easy positioning of the tube in the bronchus safely.
4. High volume, low-pressure tracheal cuff minimizes trauma to the trachea.
5. The uniquely shaped bronchial cuff helps prevent accidental upper lobe occlusion.
6. Radio-opaque line: easy X-ray Visualisation and identification, also aids in positioning of the tube.
7. Each double lumen endobronchial tube is equipped with 2x suction catheters, 2x 15mm double swivel connectors, and 1x “Y” connector.
8. Available with left-sided and right-sided types.
9. Sterile, individually packed.
