Description of Sterilization Wrap

Sterilization Wraps are square or rectangular fabric produced using a polypropylene three-layer SMS (spunbond-meltblown-spunbond) process. It prevents the penetration of microorganisms and fluids and maintains the sterility of the surgical package. The wrap is intended to allow sterilization of the enclosed medical device and also to maintain sterility of the enclosed device until opened.

Characteristics of Sterilization Wrap

1. Enough sizes to accommodate any sized or shaped item;

2. Ability to prevent microbial penetration and maintain sterility of surgical pack and prevents penetration of liquids;

3. Allows steam, sterilizing gases, or plasmas to penetrate;

4. Puncture-resistant, tear-resistant, non-toxic, and tasteless;

5. Easy to operate, very little hair loss, almost no wear marks;

6. Conforms to equipment pack contours smoothly and closely.
